One: Layout features

The modular UPS is located in a closed cold aisle, and the room-level air conditioners are placed outside in other areas of the computer room

The cold aisle is closed, but the air conditioner needs to cover a larger area through air ducts or underfloor air supply

Two: Advantages

1. Large air conditioning capacity: Room-level air conditioners are suitable for overall temperature control and are convenient for unified management

2. Convenient maintenance: The air conditioner is installed externally, and IT does not affect the operation of IT equipment when it malfunctions

3. Strong scalability: Suitable for scenarios where there is extra space in the computer room

Three: Disadvantages

1. Low cooling efficiency: The cold air travels a long distance, which can easily lead to hot and cold mixing (PUE may be greater than 1.6).

2. Poor adaptability: It is difficult to deal with local hotspots and requires additional fan assistance

Four: Applicable Scenarios

1. Traditional medium and large-sized computer room renovation (such as government data centers, financial institutions)

2. Scenarios with medium load density (5-10kW/ cabinet) and long-term stable operation required
