The outdoor cabinet is an evolutionary architecture of distributed base stations, which separates the baseband processing unit (BBU) and radio frequency processing unit (RRU) of traditional macro base stations. The BBU and RRU are connected through optical fiber according to the protocol to complete the transmission of baseband data. BBU centralization can be implemented in outdoor cabinets, with a baseband resource pool, and unified management and allocation of coverage areas. This can improve resource utilization, reduce energy consumption, and improve network performance through effective support for assistive technology as well as assistive technology.
